Your Say

Oh Louise,

That breakfast coming past reception was the greatest delivery ever!!

There was an event last night so we have a few sore heads in here today. The breakfast catering was the answer to everyone’s prayers haha.

Absolutely amazing.

Thanks so much,
Fleur

Welcome

Anniversaries are a big thing for a lot of people. My wife and I included.

Last week we had our 17th wedding anniversary so I took the day off work and we treated ourselves to the most remarkable culinary experience that I’d like to share with you.

Enter stage left – THE Q TRAIN.

We hadn’t heard much about THE Q TRAIN other than a couple of entrepreneurs/train lovers had teamed up with a top chef from Bendigo to renovate six old Queenslander train carriages and an engine and set up a restaurant to run between Drysdale and Queenscliff and back again. Sounded interesting.

It was clearly conveyed by the staff on board that THE Q TRAIN is a restaurant first and foremost. And they weren’t kidding………..the food was mind-blowing, the service was exemplary and the journey was stunning.

You’re welcome to wander throughout the carriages marveling at the attention to detail, the retro bar/lounge at the back and the fact that they push such a fantastic degustation menu out of such a small kitchen!

So if you’re looking for that something special for that someone special in your life, book yourself a Q TRAIN experience (you can even book a ferry/QTRAIN package from Docklands and back)! Check out www.theqtrain.com.au for one of the most remarkable culinary experiences around!

Cooking Tip

If you find you need more oil in the pan when sautéing, add it in a stream along the edges of the pan so that by the time the oil reaches the ingredient being cooked, it will be heated.
